These are the public notes on changes made to Homeblend. As of the 20th of March 2009 major changes to HomeBlend will be logged on this page. Issues on security and changes made to HomeBlend Media Limited will not be noted.
24th of January 2010
Network update work. Hopefully wont cause too much disruption. Will be complete by midnight at the latest. HomeBlend.net is the domain not affected.
14th of September 2009
We've made some changes to the Home page. We've cut the number of games displayed on the front page from 26ish to 5. This will hugely increase loading times - and displaying all the latest games is just a click away. We've made exploring categories much easier, by displaying them more clearly where the new games column used to be. We hope all these changes will help increase the speed in which you use HomeBlend. We're hoping to increase the overall site's speed by 50% in the next three months. Feedback will be greatly apprecieated.

In a step towards complete chat liberalization – we've removed all the word filters on pirate yak. Moderation on game comments will have to remain unfortunately, but whatever you want to yak you can. We're working to turn off the no-flood feature – but we need to consider this the impact this will have on the servers first. Pirate Yak is your chat service.
29th of June 2009
New games will now be added – for the rest of the summer at least – when they come in. We will no longer update 2-4 games per day, but rather anywhere upto 20 games an update with the latest content. This means you'll be able to play the best games on HomeBlend sooner, without having to wait for their day release. This does mean however there wont be updates every single day.
25th of June 2009
We are changing the way we update HomeBlend during the summer. From the 11th of July HomeBlend will no longer update daily. On the 11th we will update with a weeks worth of games. From then on games will be added to both HomeBlend and the home page as soon as they come in. This way you can enjoy quality flash games as soon as they come in rather than waiting for a day release.
31st of May 2009

28th of May 2009
Pirate Yak revamped. Given new look and landing page.
24th of May 2009
Added a search bar to the games pages allowing easier access to the HomeBlend search engine. We changed the background of the search box on the category pages also in our efforts to create a fluent search standardization. The Share button above games has also been repositioned so as to not overlap the game.
9th of May 2009
HomeBlend Mirrors and Pirate Yak are out of Beta. They have been added to our Terms of Agreement.
4th of May 2009
Making updates to HomeBlend's domain infrastructure, so there may be some downtime and disruption between 0:00-9:00 on the 5th of May.
14th of April 2009
We've moved to a new server which means all games should load faster and there shouldn't be any more server errors like many of you were noticing. It also means we'll be able to roll out many new features without the sites performance drooping. We are experiencing some settling problems, so any errors please just bear with us, and even let us know. At the moment many of our addresses may not be working, as they are what we call propagating. All addresses will be active within 48 hours. www.homeblend.org is guaranteed to work through this period. We've also made a few tweaks to the layout – especially in the category pages. Firstly, I'd like to say thank you to all of you who are bearing with us while we do this work, and secondly I'd like to say thank you to all of you for making HomeBlend the site it is. If you EVER have an idea on how to make the site better, let us know and we'll make it happen!
31st of March 2009
There may be some interruption over the next few weeks due to high server load. We're working hard to increase capacity, but as this will probably take a couple of weeks, some service disruption at peak times may occur.
29th of March 2009
Have reduced margin on Nav bar from -4 to -5px. Seems to have fixed spacing fault, however is causing some problems in Firefox 3 on Ubuntu.
28th of March 2009
We've updated the panic button on any page displaying the taskbar. Now when you hit the panic button it will take you to a search engine rather than wikipedia. Also (except for when you're playing a game) it loads in the same window rather than a new one. If you are playing a game, there has been no change. Clicking the button will open a new window and lead to wikipedia.
22nd of March 2009
We have increased the speed in which HomeBlend runs at. Firstly we have changed the background of our "taskbar" from an image to a colour which should increase innital loading times - as well as decreasing the size of caching on users computers. Secondly, we have cut the number of games listed on the homepage which we hope will decrease loading times by up to 60%.
